∙ 12y agoYou used to be able to but you can't now. You can buy R4 cards from multiple stores, www.ebay.com, www.dscardworld.com and www.Amazon.com are all likely to have them.
They are perfectly legal to own as long as you only back up copies of games you have already bought - downloading games you don't have a genuine copy of to begin with is illegal. So it's perfectly fine to own one of these, as long as you're backing up cartridges so you don't have to take 20 cartridges on holiday with you for example! It's also useful to convert your DS / DSi into an MP3 player.
