yes you can, however, if your contract still gas a substantial amount of time on it, you will have to purchase it full price about ($500 8g, $700 16g). The difference between the two is memory space. Now if your contract has about 18months of use you might be eligible for an upgrade. This allows you to: 1. Not have to wait until your contract is up to renew it. 2. Buy the iPhone for about ($199 8g, $299 16g). 3. If you do upgrade your contract will be renewed on the spot. The iPhone requires a standard data package. Due to the data package, youll be looking at about $30 more a month than you already pay. The data package is unlimited but does not include text messaging. You can keep your existing text plan or opt for a new one. There are plans from $5 a month for 200 text, up to unlimited. Get a case the iPhone has a glass screen and is very fragile. My common sense tells me that if you still have usage available on your phone when your contract runs out, you'll be disconnected from service as soon the available time on your plan has exceeded.
