Google Pontiac boneville ac compressor bypass pulley. There are a few places that sell a replacement pulley that goes in the spot of the compressor that allows use of the original serpentine belt.

Modern cars use two oxygen sensors to monitor the exhaust before and after the catalytic converter. Removing the catalytic converter would cause your engine to run improperly, possibly causing damage and most likely making your gas mileage worse. Just replace it if it's broken.
I just did this on my 94, For anyone else who wants to do it the belt was a NAPA 25-060725 which is 73 1/4 inches long.
