can you change the 4 speed transmission on a 1994 kawasaki 1500 to a newer 5 speed
You don't. These newer 4Runners do not require you to change the transmission fluid and if you need to at all it would only be because of leakage (bad seals) or overheating the transmission with heavy loads.
The Kawasaki Kx 85cc is a newer model of modern motorcycle and off road vehicle and can be bought at many Kawasaki licensed motor vehicle dealerships.
Alot of newer cars have a red cap on top of the transmission and you have to pull the speedometer on the transmission ( not a due it yourself check if you have a cap on top of your transmission refer to a repair shop or local oil change store.
Well, if you want and old bike, Honda is the best, but as the bikes got newer, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha have caught up but i think a Honda or Kawasaki is the best
If your transmission has a dipstick it will be under the hood towards the back of the engine near the firewall and will be clearly marked. Many of the newer cars have a sealed trans and have to checked on a lift or over a pit at the local opil change shop.
You should routinely change transmission fluid every 30 to 50,000 miles. In addition, telltale signs are fluid that turns brown or bubbly, or has a different odor (although with some newer fluids this isn't the case). Also, a transmission temp. gauge can tell you if the temp shoots up too high.
more then a 85 probably more than $1000 if its like an 04 or newer its over $1500
anything before '09 DOT 4 (newer models may use DOT 5)
No it will not work.
In recent years, the light bulb started to change when the newer CFL bulbs came out. The newer bulbs were energy efficient and people were urged to change older incandescent bulbs to the newer ones.
The newer model year expeditions require a transmission fluid change at 100,000 miles, unless you fall under the sever use category (constant towing, short trips, extreme temps), then it will be much less. If the fluid looks/smells burnt, go ahead and get a flush/fill done.
transmission fluid is stored in a pan underneath the transmission the dipstick is usually located near the back of the engine and generally says trans fluid on it in older models (80's-earlier) it is suggested not to change or remove the fluid as it has substances that are worn so to say as to adjust to the transmission newer fluids however do not have this and if changed could cause damage and/or complete failure of the transmission
