is data different from information?
Data, in the Scientific Method, means a record of the progress of your experiment. Data is whatever you observe about your experiment that may or may not change during the time of the experiment.
Rom :- Read Only Memory. The storage of data and instructions in Rom is permanent. It does not depend on the power supply. The memory which does not lose its content when power is turned off is known as non-volatile memory. There are three types of Rom :- Prom = Programmable read only memory Eprom= Erasable Prom EEprom=Electrically erasable prom
Data is just a set of random information without organization - Information is data that is organized in a way to make it useful and actionable.
Raw data becomes information once it is organized and sorted. Raw data that is collected, is useless until it becomes information.
A DVD-ROM stores more information than a CD-ROM.
ROM
You as a user of the computer can not write information to the ROM. Your computer uses the information placed in the ROM to execute functions. You can only change the information in ROM by installing a firmware update, software supplied by the computers manufacturer.
Read only memory (ROM)
The CPU sends out an address bus, which sends out a data bus to look through the memory cells and gather the required information from the ROM.
Anything held in ROM. ROM stands for Read-Only Memory, meaning that it can't be changed.
ROM - Read-Only Memory.
ROM (read only memory)
They are disc drives which read Compact Discs (CDs). They are versatile and transportable and can be used to perform various tasks such as reading data from the computer and listening to audio.
ROM is permanent storage because you can not alter data in ROM
ROM is permanent memory, so it never loses what is stored in it. Cant load new programs or new data into it, if you could then important information could be lost.
By accessing the setup program stored in ROM BIOS.
