I went to the Tesla showroom at the Park Meadows mall in Denver, and talked with one of the reps there. According to him, you can charge the Tesla from a 110 or 220v source. In the instance you're talking about, you'd just have to make sure you had a long enough extension cord to reach.
In addition you would want to make sure the extension cord was as short as possible and be an AWG wire gauge size that would support the load. My advice would be to install a GFCI outlet outside where you park the car. A non GFCI outlet would be unsafe to use outdoors. Any electrician can do this for you at very little cost.
