Yes. In the Related link below, page 5, "Are You Eligible for Benefits"; "Disqualifications"; 1) there are 9 reasons under which you can quit your job and still collect benefits.
I live in the state of Illinois, can you work part-time and collect unemployment benefits.
can you draw widows benefit and unemployment at the same time
No. If you are too ill to work then you are not eligible for unemployment.
Generally, you can't draw unemployment if you quit a job. Your employer has to lay you off or terminate you. <><> However, some states do make provisions for family emergencies, but you have to check with your own state for clarification <><> They expect you to be looking for work - taking care of an ill relative isn't a good excuse because you wouldn't be looking for a job. You need to file for unemployment in the city you move to. They will file the claim for you.
First you need to apply for unemployment benefits. If you are otherwise eligible for benefits it will depend on the reason you were terminated from your last & sometimes your next to last employer. If you were let go because you exhausted your leave and no other leaves were available to you, then usually you will be eligible. The catch 22 is that if you are still unable to work due to this medical condition or unavailable for work due to caring for someone ill, then you can be disqualified for being unable or unavailable to work. To be eligible for benefits one must be able and available to seek and accept immediate full time work.
If the reason you are under the doctor's care was work related you probably qualify for Workman's Compensation. I would think it would depend on the situation. For instance, you are still able to actively look for work and work then I would say yes. Unemployment usually does not care about if you are under the care of a doctor. They care if you are able to work.
Yes it should be limited by time, people should not be able to just sit around and collect welfare for 10,12,15 years as they do now. HOWEVER, as in all things, exceptions must be made for chronically physically ill, terminally ill, mentally ill, developmentally challenged, etc. ALSO, when the country suffers high unemployment during financial difficulties, you can't blame the countries' citizens!
If he/she was temporarily ill, he/she would simply not work on that day. If the present were to be permanently ill to a state where they are unable to serve or if they were to die, the vice president would then step in.
Probably not, because you have to physically able, willing, and actively seeking full time employment, which would be difficult if you are ill. See the Related Link below.
This is Canadian Law: An employer cannot fire an employee if they are ill and when that employee returns to work they can change jobs in the company where they can cope. If you quit a job then the employer has no responsibility towards that employee.
She made an ill-informed decision based on incomplete information.
What may you work with mental ill? I do not understand the question. Could you please re-phrase it. Thanks, frank.

ill is the state of bad health. Hence the comparative and superlative form of it will be worse and the worst.
