You should cook it on high for about 4 hours
Absolutely. Add water, cover, and it'll be ready in about 4 hours if you cook it on "high".
Stab potatoes with fork. Wrap each in foil. Fill slow cooker with potatoes. Cover and cook on High 3--4 hours or until potatoes are tender. Do not add water.
Because the temperatures are high in pressure cooker
Put them in frozen, turn the cooker on high for a good 4-6 hours at least then turn it down to low.
As long as it takes.... and don't believe people when they say you can't eat pork raw. Go for it!!
A slow cooker will not roast (the temperature is not high enough). However, if you brown your joint of meet in a frying pan on all sides then place it in the slow cooker with some vegetables, herbs, pepper, salt, stock and a little wine to just about cover it, it will cook slowly for 4 - 8 hours and taste wonderful.
If the pork chops are about 1/2" thick, they will take a good 4 hours on the high setting or if you would like to do it all day while you are at work, you can put it on the low setting for about 8 hours. It will vary a little depending on the crock pot itself. A little longer will never hurt, you just dont want to keep them in there for hours too long.
Slow cookers are designed to cook all day while you are doing something else. Normally, anything that fits in the container will take about 8 to 12 hours to cook on low. (If your cooker has a "high" setting, then probably 4 to 6 hours.) Overcooking is not a major concern, because of the low temperatures used and the type of recipes used in slow cooking. If you want to roast your beef until it is rare or medium rare, a slow cooker is not the best choice.
Someone said "about an hour" but I believe, since it takes roughly 20 minutes per pound in a 350 degree oven (that's 2 1/2 hours for 7.5 lbs), that it would take at least four hours in a slow cooker, and possibly longer depending on the temperature of the cooker. To cook to medium-rare doneness, the internal temperature has to be 145 degrees fahrenheit, and 160 for medium. Don't cook it more than that, or consider using a less expensive cut of meat.you cook it for about an hour
Put the greens in the slow cooker. Add in your water for cooking. Put on the lid and put the temperature on low if you want it to cook all day. Or put on high to cook faster. Add any seasonsings you want.
my book says 10 hours on high
