Can you damage the ipad mic if you accidentally poke a pin in it thinking it is the reset button to restart the ipad after it shutdown and would not start.?

Yes, if you repeatedly do it, the mic will be damaged but once might be ok and that depends how hard you pressed on the mic. I think there is a rubber covering on the mic. Is there? Someone please confirm.
