I tried this just this morning, except my B of A account is in Pennsylvania. I raised Hell with the teller who told me "No." I spent another 30 minutes with the manager who made all sorts of phone calls and spent a lot of time on her internal computer to find out why. I finally got a definite answer: Philippine banks will not honor peso checks drawn on their banks and submitted for collection by foreign banks like Bank of America.
