Just make sure you let them soak in saline afterwards at least overnight. Put them in too soon and they will sting. I save my old ones when I get a new prescription by storing them in peroxide. This keeps them from going bad. That way I have quick replacements if I need them.
Hydrogen peroxide 3% is a much better disinfectant. Hydrogen peroxide may be used in the oral cavity for disinfection. Isopropyl alcohol, also known as Rubbing Alcohol is only used on surface skin and not on mucosa. It dries quickly by evaporation, hence it does not have too much contact time to completely disinfect. Hydorgen peroxide's foaming action ensures full coverage of an area, with extended disinfecting action.
The hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is not a colloid.
Since the dissociation constant for hydrogen peroxide is 2.4 x 10^-12 (very very small) if only a 3% concentration were to be mixed with water the pH would be negligible. However the main reason Hydrogen peroxide stings when you spill or pour it on a cut to disinfect it is because of its fairly high reactivity.
Hello you jayjay
The hydrogen peroxide sold in drugstores contains three percent hydrogen peroxide and 97 percent water.
The difference between 6%, 9%, and 12% Hydrogen Peroxide solution is the Hydrogen content.
Wpg: 9.43, 35% Hydrogen Peroxide

Yes
It is not a suspension, it is a solution.
