You can "disown" your parent but there is no legal effect. If you died tomorrow with no spouse or children, in most jurisdictions, your parent(s) would inherit your property according to the laws of intestacy if you have no will. The solution is to have a will and tell some trusted person who knows where it is stored. In your case you have children, and possibly a spouse. Your mother will not have any right to your estate. Your property would pass to your spouse and children.

You are not legally responsible for your parent's debts or financial support unless you agree to be responsible, in writing. You have no legal responsibility to your mother and can cut all ties with her if you wish. You should use your experience, resources and energy to provide a better family life for your own children.

No. The only way you can really "disown" someone is by not having anything to do with them at all. I would sit down and talk to them, about how you feel, you never know when your going to need them.

I think you can.Though it would be hard if your only on good terms with one parent if your parent are still married. But if they are divorced it would be quite easy.
