I am assuming it depends on the type of stent you had placed. If it was a common bile duct stent or pancreatic duct stent due to problems with pancreatitis, no, you should not drink for a long time, if ever. Pancreatitis can be fatal. You would be likely to suffer another episode only 4 days post-op.
After my own common pancreatic stent surgery two years ago, I was told by my GI to abstain from all alcohol for a year (for safe measure.) After one year, he said it was okay (in my case) to drink a beer or two, but no liquor. He said I could try red wine, as well, but it gives me really bad heartburn, which is scary if you've ever had pancreatitis.
After one year of no alcohol, I am now able to have 2 or 3 beers, occasionally, with no ill effects.
I had 1 stent in 2 days ago when can I have 2 pints.
after ten days i had it.
If you drink a large amount of alcohol then you can get alcohol poisoning. If you are lucky enough to survive, then the symptoms can last for several days.

No, some do observe on holy days to not eat meat or drink alcohol. In Ireland on days like Good Friday alcohol is not sold. It is in no way forbidden to eat or drink anything normal in the catholic religion.
