-The above answer was incorrect. Yes, you can legally drink on a Bus in all 50 states so long as the Driver has a Commercial Drivers License and the vehicle is properly registered as such. Greyhound specifically has a zero tolerance policy about drinking on there buses. If you are crossing state lines then there are other laws that can come into play and they drastically very from state to state and change all the time.

Special types of bus tours are an exception. Personally I have never run into problems with this except when re-entering the country. I run a brewery bus tour and we legally carry a whole keg on the bus and serve it to our guests.
