What I've found to help me is to take the juice of 1/2 of a lemon, drink it quickly and wash it down with a little water. This helps to neutralize the stomach and works rather quickly

My friend, one can have too much of anything ! Too much water and you drown. Too much sun and you burn. Everything in moderation; your wonderful God-given body should tell you when it has had enough. Blessings !
If you drink too much water you may suffer water toxicity which can be fatal.
You should drink as much water as you can. And continuing to drink a lot of water can prevent future ones, too.

I know that if I drunk too much lemon, lime, orange or indeed any acid drink or food, I can get cramp in my thighs or feet. I usually take several indigestion tablets to help the muscles with neutral or alkaline source to help the muscles to relax. I also drink a couple of pints of water.

You need to drink some water but do not drink too much water, no more than 2 L.
Too much water can kill you, but it is not too easy. If you continually drink water, your bladder could internally explode if you don't go pee. it is not always a fast process. You have to drink a LOT of water for that to happen and hold it for awhile though.
