Can a person with epilepsy be denied the right to drive or work?

People with uncontrolled epilepsy are not allowed to drive. However, if your epilepsy has been controlled for a certain period of time (where I live, 3 years) then you will be legally allowed to drive again. I have been unable to drive for 3 years now. YES, people with epilepsy can get a license to drive. A signed document from your doctor and your seizure activity are major factors here. You also need to check with the DMV in your state. All states are different. I am in Missouri and you must go at least 6 months with out a seizure also. Yes, you can drive. I have epilepsy and I drive!!!!!!! In the United Kingdom, epileptics are also permitted to drive if they have been siezure free for three years for a car. The number of years you need to be siezure free increases dependent on the size of vehicle driven and the purpose it is used for. Edit: *** People that uncontrolled can't drive, but if your seizures have been controlled by a certain period of time (where I live, 1 year) than you can drive again. I have seizures and I havn't been able to drive for 3 years.***
