You can drive with some American driving licenses in France (not all states have their license recognized as valid), but never under age 18 which is the legal minimum age to drive.
The legal age to drive is 18 in France. There are no exceptions and a 17-year old from the US cannot drive legally here. Add the fact that only some, but not all US driving licenses entitle you to drive in France (that depends of the state having issued the license).
No. You need full UK driving licence to drive in France
I just saw him drive so apparently yes. It would be stupid to drive without a license on TV.
You can get you license at 16 but it wont be a full license. For the mean time you will have a junior drivers license that will let you drive from 5am to 9pm. Then when you are 18 they will send you a full drivers license.
Drivers in France drive on the right side of the road, which is the right one for mainland Europeans.
Yes if you do have a American driving license , you will still need an international licenense to drive in France.
As of September 2013, in order to drive in France you have to apply for a temporary international driver\'s permit/license.
I was able to use my California drivers license to rent and drive a car while I was in Melbourne last November. :)

You cannot drive in the US on a UK drivers license, or ANY other foreign license (except Canada & Mexico). You must apply for an International Drivers License issued under the auspices of the AAA (American Automobile Association). I'm told that it is a relatively simple process.

I don't think that you can drive anywhere :(
Unfortunately yes, if you get an international licence as well.
