I would not recommend it unless you attempt microwaving a smaller bill first to test it, but an iron definitely works very well. If you do try to iron it, using a little Febreeze or some other laundry freshener helps to negate any unpleasant odors that can come from drying out an older bill.

It should be safe to dry clay in a microwave, but it would not be practical. The clay won't get dry at all. Using a regular oven, or just leave the clay on a shelf would be the best bet to dry clay.

Microwave baking can be very successful, but recipes and baking dishes need to be appropriate for microwave use. Recipes that depend on a crisp crust created by a dry hot baking in a conventional oven are not appropriate. I think so !
