Answer:You don't have to. But, sometimes you should eat some bread or a food item so It can suck up some of the excess protein. Its not alright to drink something like Slimfast on an empty stomach. Even though its full of vitamins, its not food. Its a drink, eat a bowl of cereal or an apple before you drink slimfast. Your body needs more then Slimfast on an average basis.
