You could eat potato on a low carb diet. However, potato (depending upon portion size) would use up most, if not all, of your carb allowance. There are much better carbohydrate bargains to be had and you can spread them throughout the day.

Fruits are high in carbohydrates but are good for you, and should be a part of your diet. Most vegetables are low in carbohydrates, unless they are starchy, such as potatoes or corn. Both categories are better choices than refined sugars.

Yes you could, but grapefruit is a relatively high carbohydrate fruit and not usually included in a low carb diet unless in very small amounts.

For example, there are 27 carbohydrates in a large grapefruit (4½" diameter), 20½ carbohydrates in a medium grapefruit (3¾" diameter) and 16 carbohydrates in a small grapefruit (3½" diameter).
