They eat whatever food is given them by the owner. They will also eat bits of plant life (provided the tank is planted), eggs that are spawned, and young livebearers too if they can catch them.

∙ 14y agoEdible and palatable are two different things. Like with plants, you can technically eat aquarium fish, but they will taste very bad. Much like weeds compared to salad.
