There are pre-existing conditions that must be met, however, depending on how long you were working, your earnings in that period, etc. You need to contact your state's unemployment office to find out what your state's requirements are. The benefits will be reduced, depending on those stipulations, as the earnings you make now will reduce those benefits, generally.
