yes you can but stick it somewhere safe. if it gets stepped on when it is follded up it bye bye to a ddr pad
yes
You can use 1 if you want but if your doing ddr with two people then you need 2 mats.
The DVD game by Imagination Entertainment comes with 2 dance mats that Do Not hook up to a game system or the tv. If you get a game system like a Xbox (original or 360) or the playstation 1, 2 or 3 then you will have to get a dance pad or 2. When buying my Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) game, I needed to buy my mats separately. I reckon one mat would have cost around US $40. I had a PS2 at the time, and could only fit 2 mats to a game. If there are more players, try out the 'Party Mode' where players rotate around the mats.
depends on your console, but i am assuming that you may have a ps2, i just goes into one of the controller ports like any controller.
There are many websites and companies that offer dance mats to customers. Some of these companies and websites are Amazon, Walmart, Great Mats and TumblTrak.
Generally the only way you'll be able to get decent mats is if you purchase them online and have them shipped over. Most mats in the store are very thin with no foam in the middle. They will be useless if you are a serious player. I have bought various mats for PC, and I usually get 1" foam mats that are for console versions (like PlayStation or Gamecube). I then buy an adapter that converts from the console version to USB. Do your research on DDR forums and you'll figure out a solution. But regardless, if you want semi-decent mats you'll need to purchase them from overseas.
