At this time, you cannot get Microsoft Word or PowerPoint on a Samsung Chromebook. However, you can read and edit either files if you use Google Drive (Docs), QuickOffice, or a number of 3rd party office suites that use Chrome OS.
As of today (Sept. 22nd, 2014), there are apps available in the Chrome Web Store for Word, Excel and PowerPoint created by Live.com. They work but have a somewhat limited function from the originals. The better bet would be Google Drive (Docs). They work surprisingly well.

How much is the google chromebook going to cost?
It varies, but when I had to replace a cracked screen on this Chromebook I was charged about $100. It took them a little over a week to get the part, then replaced it in 20 minutes while I waited. But then considering that I only spent about $150 to buy this Chromebook in the first place, it was a bit of a trade off of either replacing the screen or buying a new Chromebook! I chose to get the screen.
