You can have a motorcycle painted to your likings. They can do anything that you may want but it will deffinately cost. You can also pre-order the motorcycle with the colors you want and again it is going to cost you.

In 1913 when the factory race department was formed the riders had orange stipes and sleeves ,possibly to tell them from the crowd of dirt covered competitors. I'd have to say that its use grew out of racing.
