What state can you get your license in if is suspended in another state?

no 3 years ago you could of but the have a new law i live in Illinois and got to many speeding tickits and got suspended i went to Iowa and got another one and mover there last year i got a thing in the mail stating a new law was in affect if your drivers licence is suspend in ill you cant have one in this state so hear i am 3 years now not having one and they wont let me get it back but my moms boy toy has had 6 DUI and has his tell me how mest up is that

information is beginning to be accessible across state lines. BMV's in the US are beginning to share information which makes it almost impossible for someone in one state to obtain a drivers license in another state. Twelve years ago this was possible, today it is almost if not impossible for this to occur. If the BMV does not catch it, the insurance company will.

You may only hold a drivers license from the state in which you reside. All state's DMV's are inter-connected - if you are suspended or revoked in one state you will be ineligible in ALL states.

This is a question which we get often. There are five states which are not members of the Drivers Licence Compact - Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Nevada (although Nevada still conforms to it). At one time, there were reports of people being able to get licensed in these states if they had a suspension in their home state. However, they had to become a resident of that state, and their license was only valid within that state - if they were caught driving out-of-state, it was treated as if they were driving on a suspended license. Furthermore, in the information age, this has since been discontinued, and these states also share drivers license information with other states, and will no longer issue a license to a person who has an active suspension in another state.

Even if this weren't the case, you still wouldn't be able to drive in the state which suspended your license - when a state issues a licence suspension, they also suspend your driving privilege in that state, thus prohibiting you from driving in that state on any license until you have met the criteria for reinstatement of your driving privilege.

In not so many words, no, there is not.

Usually not. Even if you did, you would not be able to drive in the state where you are suspended. Your priviledge to drive in that state is suspended along with your license.
