you can it will require dropping a k frame which is what is stopping you from getting the sump off anyway it save alot of time but may be hard without a hoist
Yes is the simple answer. You may need gaskets if you do!
The sump is a tank (reservoir) at the bottom of the engine which contains lubricating oil. When the engine is switched off, the warm lubricating oil at the top of the engine, seeps back into the sump by gravity, ready for future lubricating use when the engine is running again.
yes
Of course not.
technically no! the only other way to do it is to still raise the engine off of the engine mounts at least a few inches.
Why on earth would you want to do that? There is absolutely No benefit what so ever, all you do is risk smashing the sump off even more than normal!
you have to pull the engine up at least a foot be cause of oil sump and transmission will hit the floor pan
The best way to remove oil from an engine with too much in is to get underneath and undo the sump plug on the bottom of the engine to drain some off. DIfficult to do without getting a bit oily though :)
how to remove oil pan from 1989 bronco 2
That's impossible. With out dismantling the engine. Yoi have to take the head off , sump off to get to the big ends to loosen the connecting rod bolts. Tonpock the piston out up through the head.
You have dirt in the sump which is being sucked up onto the filter and blocking the oil feed. When you turn off the engine, it drops back into the sump. Change the oil and filter. If big lumps drain from the sump, better to remove and clean out the sump. Then fit engine flush before new oil.
the alternator is on the bottom right side of the motor and it is hard to get to without removing the engine but it can be done without removing the whole motor you take the belt off and detach the cables then there are 2 bolts that you take out then you pry it out and replace,
