Depart from London Euston Station by Virgin Trains to Stoke-on-Trent Station. The journey takes around 1 hour 25 minutes. Additionally, London Midland operate an hourly service from Euston to Stoke-on-Trent, however the journey takes just under an hour longer but the fare is usually cheaper.
Once at Stoke-on-Trent, a dedicated bus operated by Alton Towers takes you to the Theme Park. A combined bus travel and theme park entrance ticket can be purchased from the driver.
I have attached a link to information regarding the shuttle buses below.
You can get the train. If you are going from Manchester Picadilly, take the train to Stoke-on-Trent, then take a train from there to Uttoxeter. From Uttoxeter you can then get a bus service to Alton Towers. I believe the bus number is 15, but you'll have to check that one.

One option would be to take a National Express Coach service from Manchester Coach Station to Stoke-on-Trent (Hanley Bus Station). As Alton Towers opens at 10am, you could take the 8am serive arriving at Hanley at 9:15. From there, there are regular First Bus service to Alton Towers, all taking under 1 hour. An alternative would be to take the train from Manchester to Stoke-on-Trent railway station which would be quicker, however you would then have to get a bus from the railway station to Hanley Bus Station and then the bus to Alton Towers. I have attached a link below to the Alton Towers page on 'How to find us'. In addition, I have attached a link to National Express as it is cheaper to book the coach tickets in advance.
Virgin trains and alton towers work together to provide a train ticket to the theme park
