J-tagg's will get you banned but moding single player games like Skyrim or Fallout Will not get you banned. Anyways J-tags WILL get you banned. If you mod any multiplayer Game for Ex Halo COD or BF3 = Ban Hammer. But most single player games will not if you do its only Temp So lets Reviw Single Player = No banned at worst Temp (Perm Ban if you say play on a mod for 24/7) Multiplay and J-tags = Perm Ban (Recommend getting another account if J-taging)

Of course it will do nothing to the actual disk but, it will tag your xbox and any illegal molding like making yourself better etc then you may be instantly banned for ever on that xbox which means yes you will have to get another xbox that is not banned.
