Out of all the requests for emancipation, very few are granted. You have to prove severe abuse. If you are a female, getting pregnant will emancipate you. So will getting married (with parental consent). If you are just wanting to leave home, in Georgia you can leave at 17, and you cannot be forced to return. This is because you can now go to prison in Georgia at age 17. But you cannot be kicked out by your parents until age 18. Be aware that you can't legally sign a Lease or other Contract until age 18.
