There may be some schools that have this, however I have never been made aware of an accelerated program for nursing without a bachelor's degree and in addition, all prerequisite coursework completed.

The Challenges Presented By Accelerated Nursing Programs?

In most colleges, nursing programs are notoriously hard. They require a lot of study. They require many hours of hard work. They even require students to show up at the hospital early in the morning. This is not something that a person can simply do on a whim. They have to be committed to the program if they are going to pass. Some colleges make this even more difficult by offering an accelerated BSN program. This is the traditional nursing program sped up by a year in most cases. Some accelerated programs just speed things up by a semester. Whatever the case, this can create some difficult conditions for students. Many hours of difficult scienceOne of the tough things about a nursing program is that you have to take lots of science classes. There are also practical nursing classes to worry about. Traditional programs will space out the hard stuff. This gives students a chance to focus on a couple of hard classes each semester. An accelerated program has no ability to space things out. Students have to face all of the hard science at one time. This can be a real challenge for people who struggle with these classes. The information can be overwhelming and difficult. Many students struggle in accelerated programs as a result of this.Working practicals while taking huge class loadsAnother difference between traditional programs and accelerated programs is that traditional programs allow students to take a light load of classes in semesters where they work practical hours. This is not the case in an accelerated BSN program. Students have to take lots of classes and work at the same time. It goes without saying that this can be highly stressful and difficult. It can also take away from the practical experience. The challenges presented by these programs are real. The programs do provide some upside to students who are looking to get out into the working world. For students who are willing to focus in that time, the reward is a quick paycheck. They don't have to waste years of their life in a classroom when they could be earning.

community college nursing?

There are many different community college nursing programs from which a person can choose. This is a smart investment: Once a person has a nursing degree, he or she will be unstoppable. This is because such a career is always in demand. After all, people are always in need of care and help after an accident or when they fall ill or get on with their years. The following are some tips for how to select a community college nursing program. Different schools' reputations, rankings, and reviews are a solid place to start when a person is researching community college nursing programs. Interested students should go online to read up on what current and past students as well as college nursing experts have to say about different community colleges and their programs. The more reviews a reader experiences, the better and more well-rounded the view of the school. People should also visit any school they are considering. Everything from the look of the buildings to how the admissions office conducts business will affect this decision. Thus, students should schedule tours, sit in on classes, and experience potential colleges. Always look at class size and the type of requirements deemed necessary by a community college nursing program. It is important to a student to think about whether or not they can deal with large classes or if they want more hands on experience. The requirements or number of credits and types of experiences the program offers should fit or suit one's interests. After all, this nursing program will train an individual so that he or she is then ready to enter a hospital, school, nursing home, or some other nurse-based position. If an individual does his or her research, choosing a community college nursing program or degree is easy. The more a student knows about a school, its reputation, and the nursing program, the easier it will be to see which program suits the individual's interests and learning style. Community colleges are often cheaper than other options but offer some great classes and training. This is a perfect option for someone who wants to get out into the work force as quickly as possible without going into serious debt. No two college or program is the same: This is why students need to take the time to research any community college nursing program they are considering.
