What does informal probation mean?
Simply, It means that you have to stay completely out of trouble until your probation is up. To be more exact, you don't have to report to a probation officer if you're leaving the state or check-in with a probation officer whatsoever. But, if you do get in trouble (depending on what it is) you are potentially looking at a probation violation which could end up in jail time, community service, more probation, ect, ect. Hope this helped, been there before.

What are the consequences for moving to another state while on felony probation in Texas?
How do you get through probation?
When a person is placed on probation there are requirements placed on them by the court One of these will to report to a probation officer or supervisor. The officer will also be able to place requirements and restrictions on the person. To get through or complete probation successfully the person must obey and accomplish all these requirements and stay out of trouble with the authorities. Really not to hard if you are wanting to succeed, tough if you go back to your old ways.
Can a felon on probation date a convicted felon?
What qualifications do you need to become a qualified probation officer?
Instead of serving prison time, many criminals are placed on probation. Convicts must steer clear of trouble and comply with other regulations while on probation.. As a probation officer, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation of criminal offenders back into society. Your goal would be to help others resume productive lives... To become a probation officer you must have at least a bachelor's degree in the fields of criminal justice, social work, or some other relevant area... Good communication and writtin skills are helpful as well.

Can you still use archery equipment while on felony probation?
That depends on state law, doesn't it? In Georgia it's not a "crime" for a person on probation to have archery equipment, but it MIGHT BE a violation of the terms and conditions of their probation. Just like an adult over 21 drinking beer or hanging around a bar-- it's not illegal, but it probably is a violation of probation that can get the person in trouble with the probation officer and the judge that imposed the probation as part of the sentence. If you're on probation and a term of your probation is "no weapons" then I'd say to stay away from bows and arrows too. They are probably considered weapons even if you only intend to use them for the sport of target practice.
Is Writing bad checks while on probation violation of probation?
Yes. If you haven't done so already you have to report it to your probation officer because if they don't find out you can get in any more trouble. The rules state that you have one business day to report it to your PO. Usually if you are found innocent they will drop the PV charge but if they are real jerks they could violate you for having the incident. Hope this helps.
What will happen if you got in trouble before you got on probation but had to do for days in jail on your probation?
If you got into criminal trouble before you were on probation. You would be in jail and not on probation. Probation is for if you are not in jail. They can't happen at the same time. Unless, you are picked up while on probation, but that would be a violation of your probation which we would be very quickly revoked. Added: The question is worded very unclearly. Probation is a sentence for being found guilty of a criminal offense for which you were charged and brought to court. It is a very lenient sentence, but it IS a sentence nonetheless. If you violate the provisions of your probation you can be taken into custody for VOP and the judge will make a decision as to whether or not you will be punished for the VOP and, if so, in what fashion. If you re-offend (commit another offense while released on probation) you will have your probation revoked AND you will be charged with the new crime.

Can a probation officer violate you for failing a urine test if the medication is prescribe by a doctor?
As long as you are on the medication legally as prescribed by a doctor then you can not get in trouble...you might want to let the probation officer know the name of the drug that you are prescribed to and the doctor that prescribed it if it is a pain medication then it will show up in a drug test............good luck........if you are not prescribed, you can drink a cup of vinegar and that clears out your system like magic try not to puke if you puke then it won't work..............Xxemo1xX

Will you be drug tested right after a DUI sentencing?
when I got out of court they sent me straight to the probation office. He asked me if they tested me would I be positive for any drugs i said yes. Then he asked if I would leave urine for testing, I said yes. Then he said I wouldn't be in trouble, that they just wanted too know my levels. Dont lie you cant get in trouble the first test. But I strongly suggest quitting after that. Unless you want too go to jail!!!!!
What happens if you fail one drug test for marijuana while on Cobb county probation I have been on probation for two years without any trouble at all so far?
Every jurisdiction has its own procedures to follow when a probationer fails his drug test: normally the test is confirmed by sending the urine to the lab where it is tested more extensively to confirm the initial positive result. If that test is positive the probationer will be arrested. The judge might go easy or follow the recommendatios of the probation officer.
