If you are doing CPR as part of your work in a professional setting and your certification is not current, there might be consequences, especially if there was a problem or if you did not use the latest approved techniques. If you are acting as a private citizen and you use CPR in an attempt to help an ailing stranger, most places have 'good samaritan' provisions so that such an act will not cause trouble for the person trying to help.
You have to retake a CPR class and get re-certified in CPR.
Call the local agency that issued you the CPR card (e.g. American Red Cross, American Heart Association). They will have a course record and will verify the card is not expired, and will send you a replacement card.
