Some colleges and all community colleges do not require SAT nor ACT. Some will require ACT but not SAT. If you don't have these test scores, best bet is to attend your local community college for two years. You have to make sure to carefully choose classes that will apply toward your major. You will also be very cautious those classes will be accepted to 4yr. university/college of your choice to transfer to. Some are very picky.

Once you have met the requirement as a transfer student, you will NOT need ACT nor SAT.

Wish you best and great success.

yes, you can get into college without taking the SAT or ACT, but it might be a little harder. Some colleges have an entrance exam that you take if you didn't take the ACT or SAT. Those tests they grade some of the same ways the SAT and ACT are scored.

The only way you can know for sure is to contact the specific college you wish to apply to.

Some "colleges" are 2-year community colleges while others are 4-year universities. Each college has its own admission requirements. Some require high SAT/ACT scores, while others are not as strict.

In short, yes. There are some great colleges out there that do not require you to take the SAT or ACT. Mount Holyoke College, Pitzer College, Lawrence University, Bowdoin College, and Bates College are just a few examples. However, most colleges do require the SAT or ACT and to have as many options as possible, I advise that you take the tests.

There are some universities that will accept students without SAT scores.

However, your best bet is to begin at a community college. This will give you time to study for the SAT and decide which four-year university you would like to attend.

This depends on the particular University. As a general rule however it is always best to meet all of the requirements of the college or university that you are applying for.
