yes, depending on where your boating you have to be under a certain speed when your close to the shore or docking areas but once your past those signs stating that then there shouldn't be a speed limit but some cops may come by and check up on you if they believe your doing something stupid, such as drugs or if ur completely hammered driving the boat, and in that case they will pull you over.
