I think the chicken would prefer if you left them where they are.

However, if it is already dead, and you want to cook it, there are a number of options.

  1. For a roast - chop them off before roasting, and use in a stock. - They will be too over cooked to be of much use.
  2. For pieces - Marinade them and then grill.
  3. For Stocks - they are perfect, bung them in with all the other bits.
  4. For slow cooking - Leave them in, they will be delicious as with the rest of the bird.
