A nonresident who is at least sixteen (16) years of age may drive in Texas with a Learner's Permit from another state provided the person complies with all provisions of the Texas statute. The instruction permit is a driving permit that will enable a beginning driver to drive with someone in the front seat that is 18 years of age or older and holds a valid license.
No. If you're trying to get a Texas licence, you would first have to get a Texas learner's permit.
You will have to have insurance on the vehicle to drive in Texas any way you go about it. Texas is a state that has mandatory insurance coverage. The owner of the vehicle needs to add you as a driver and give them your license information. Most insurance companies do not charge anyone additional premium for a person with a learners permit. I assume your laws are that you can only drive with a licensed driver in the vehicle whenever you drive.
Just go to your Local DMV, the same place you got the learners permit. They will replace it or give you another.
You should not have to be listed on the policy as a driver in order to take the driving test. Most insurance companies do not charge a premium for a person with a learners permit. Your parents should make sure that they have notified the insurance agent that you have a permit and give them the information like your permit number. After you pass the driving test and receive a permanent drivers license, they really should add you as a driver immediately so that you are covered should anything happen while you are driving the car.
15 years old in the State of Texas you can get a learners permit. This enables you to drive as long as there is a licensed driver above the age of 18 in the car with you. At 16, you can then get a driver's license. With certain met criteria, you can get hardship license at 15, to give you the ability to drive alone with restrictions, such as time of day.
Yes and No. If you can pass your drivers test without one, then you don't need it. Learners permits are to give people experience behind the wheel before they attempt to pass the test.

As I cannot even drive, (3 weeks until 15) don't take this without a grain of salt, but I believe that the law is that if you have a learners permit, you need to have a passenger over 18 with a drivers license. Again, I may be wrong
The Learners Permit is a written exam that you take at the Department of Motor Vehicle in your counties court house or government building. You go down their first and get a book that you need to study and set a test date when you feel ready, then you go and get 100....!!!!!!Good luck
if your 16 still you still have to go through the permit and all
Purchasing, or renting the practice book/CD/DVD etc. and reading through the guide will give you everything you need to know about the permit test. There are no parts that should not be learned, as safety for both your son and other drivers and pedestrians is vital.
It is not hard to own a car in Canada. All you have to do is buy it from a dealer or private owner and then go to the regestration office and transfer it to your name. In some provinces you have to have proof of insurance and some you do not , and in some provinces you have to have a drivers permit and some you do not, but if you do not you may not drive the car only some one with a drivers permit can drive it. To give an example I bought my son his first car when he was 14 and put it in his name right away but he could not drive it till he was 16 when he got his permit
No. The learners permit only enables you to drive with a fully licensed driver in the car with you at all times. The only instance where this would be different in the situation you described, would be if you had an immediate relative such as a brother or sister in the car with you. They would only have to be 18, but they would still have to be fully licensed in order for you to legally operate the car. The permit does not give you permission to drive to school or anywhere else alone.
