They were important because Kings and Queens gave out orders and without them Ancient Egypt would be totaly fallen apart. As well as that no one would give orders so everyone would be fighting.

Because 1066 was the year of the battle of Hastings. It was the year that we had what is called our first English King, William the conqueror.
Courtiers are people who attend a royal court as companions or advisers to kings and queens. Therefore, the task of courtiers is to give advice to the ruler of the state.
In 1066 William the Conqueror crossed the English Channel & invaded England & became king. Ever since then England has had a contiuous reign of the monarchy (Give or take a few instances) & remained independent of foreign control. Many centuries before that England was a part of the Roman Empire.
