Although Trust Points are intended to be for outstanding answers, you can award a contributor a Trust Point for asking a good question, or any other community activity.

No, it does not.
How do you know someone gave you a trust point on WikiAnswers?
When you register on WikiAnswers you submit your email. When you receive a trust point, you also receive an email stating that you have received a trust point. The username or IP address who gave you the trust point will not be included however. You can also look on your profile page and see the trust point count.
Why is it when you question if he is cheating on you he gets mad?
Because you don't trust him and it's insulting to call someone a cheater. Kind of like asking if somebody didn't wipe their butt after going to toilet.
