∙ 11y agoGenerally speaking, a vet will start by prescribing Clavamox (amoxycillin), a moderately powerful antibiotic. If it is ineffective, he will try different antibiotics to find one which resolves the problem. Dosage varies based on the cat's condition and size, it is never a good idea to try and determine dosage yourself.
