NO, I don't believe this is possible -PPR fittings are made from polypropylene and nobody has yet developed a solvent or glue to join pieces of it. If you read any PPR manual you will see the words " Can be fitted fast and easily by special tools" -or something like that. Polypropylene is joined either by special 'mechanical ' fittings or' hot welded'. There is no Transition cement to join it either.
Actually, I really can't imagine WHY you would want to do this anyway. In my local suppliers I see literally hundreds of PVC fittings to cover every eventuality.
The amount of glue that you use on pipe depends on the number of joints or fittings - not length of pipe. - One litre is a lot of pipe glue ! -I have done thousands of feet of PVC pipe and fittings this past year, and still have some glue left in my litre can of Weld-On 711.
ABS yellow glue is the correct glue for ABS pipe. The only other glue to consider is Weld On Transition cement if you are gluing ABS to PVC parts.
No, fittings go over the pipe
How you make connection between HDPE pipe and GI pipe?what is the fittings are required?Read more: How_you_make_connection_between_HDPE_pipe_and_GI_pipe
Transition piece is mostly used where there is variation of Wall thickness greater tha 3/16" or the yield strength difference is greater than 20 ksi.
by thoroughly sealing up the crack
if your waste pipe is PVC and your glue is for PVC . yes! but make sure to use a primer(cleaner) on the pipe first.
You cannot do that effectively without taking the fittings apart,
Not sure what you mean by pressure fittings. Threaded fittings for steel pipe are pressure fittings. Steel pipe with a 3/4" O.D. is known as 1/2" I.P.S. (Iron Pipe Size) pipe.
Yes, but only pipe, fittings too big in diameter where they glue together to fit in 2X4 wall.
No, proper pipe dope that is approved for gas installations must be used on all threaded fittings. Using substitutes will not guarantee that a tight fit will be made which can lead to gas leaking into the house.
No glue has been made that makes a satisfactory joint on HDPE. There is a'hot rod welding' process, or gluing with a transition cement AND a screw to ensure no coming apart. -I'd choose a more versatile pipe if I was you.
