Cows are indeed rather top-heavy, but even considering this most of them, I have found are somewhat bow-legged. I think it's more myth than fact.
As a teenager I used to sneak up on my horse while she was sleeping and sometimes give her a gentle push. Always...always, she could catch herself and remain balanced.
