I really wouldn't recommend it. There are so many germs in the lake that can infect your bellybutton. I would wait a month at the most or until its not sore..
If it's a lake, dont do it, it will get infected from all the bacteria! But pools are less risky, your piercing may become irritated from the chlorine though. Sojust make sure to clean it when you're done swimming.
You should wait atleast a month before going swimming. As a lake is full of bacteria. Unlike what the original person said ("a lip piercing heals in 10 days, not 2-3 months. hope i helped "), a lip piercing actually takes THREE-FOUR months to fully heal. Kbyeee, best of luck. And I hope you love your lip piercing as much as I do! ^_^
You physically CAN, but I wouldn't... I wouldn't swim in anything only a day after. They can get infected by your clothes rubbing against them, I wouldn't chance a dip in fish poo infested water. It's not a good idea. You're almost certain to get an infection. I am lifeguard and a competative swimmer so I had to get back in the water within a week of piercing my belly button. I recommened using Tagaderm which is a clear bandage that moves with your skin and will protect it from anything in the water. You can get it from any Rite Aid or Walgreens type store in the bandaid department.
Depends where you are swimming. Swimming in a lake or other naturally occurring body of water wouldn't be recommended because of the various bacteria that live in that kind of water. on the other hand, swimming in a clean pool should be fine as long as your piercing isn't showing any signs of infection already and you make sure to clean it thoroughly afterwards.
Make sure the health department says the lake is OK to go into first of all. Second if you do go into the lake be sure to wash the piercing out with clean running water after your swim.
Waterproof Protection Don't expose your piercing to a hot tub, pool, lake, ocean, or any body of water, even if it seems clean. The chemicals in heavily chlorinated pools could be as damaging as the microorganisms and dirt in natural bodies of water. Protect your piercing with a Nexcare Waterproof Bandage, a Tegaderm Transparent Dressing, or similar covering. If you don't use a sealant bandage, then you should avoid submerging (or even splash- ing) your healing piercing.
yeah, you would wanna wait so it doesnt get infected, so yeah, i tihnk 3 weeks is fine Get advice from your physician and not people who have no idea about such things. The studio that pierced my cartilage said I could go swimming in a pool the very next day, as long as I don't play with the piercing under water.
Joe went swimming in a lake.
A swimming hole as sort of a man-made lake that you can swim in.
The common noun is "lake".
