Yep, just add some tomato food (liquid fertilizer) in the right amount (says on the side). Don't be tempted to overfeed, it'll just burn the roots and kill it. A very very weak solution of washing-up liquid will kill any greenfly or bugs later on & then degrade & add to the Potassium levels which encourage flowering later on. Good luck : )

In my expirience growers have used sponges as the base for the roots to grow in. The sponges would be set in a shallow puddle of water. Any fertilizers or nutrients introduced to the Cannabis would be given directly to the sponge once the plants take to it.
We grow ours directly into "worked soil" (a compost that has been tilled into the earth.) Potting soil could be used in place of compost.
