Yes you can :) we did it in my daughters room and she loves it! All u have to do is find the stud (rafter) in the ceiling and have it hooked on a sturdy hook. But don't get to wild on it or you can split the rafter!!
The problem with mounting the hammock to the ceiling is that the high mounting points puts lots of curve in the hammock, which isn't very comfortable. You could flatten it out by separating the mounting points further, but then that substantially elevates the hammock off the floor, making it difficult to get in. I just finished hanging a large spreader bar type for two people on our porch, and started out hanging it from the ceiling. Despite several attempts, it wasn't feasible to mount it that way. I dropped down to the side walls with the anchor points and it worked fine. Hooks were about 48" off the floor...putting the hammock about 24" off the floor...

A butterfly chair will normally be recognized by its unique appearance as most people would refer to it as a "mini hammock". The chair supports the user with a piece of canvas that is suspended by the corners, much the same as a hammock, with the difference being that the chair is supported by its own metal frame rather then being attached to a permanent object like a tree.
One can purchase a hammock and stand from retailers such as Bunnings, Kmart, Target and Lowes. One can also purchase online from sites such as Hammock Haven, Amazon, Overstock and eBay.

A person would sit on a chair without falling threw by having a seat on it and if there isn't too much weight on it.
If I needed to know the weight of a chair, I would weigh myself holding the chair then weigh myself again without the chair. The difference between the first and second measurements is the weight of the chair.
