You can but shouldn't as it is highly contagious. A hairdresser can refuse to cut the hair or if they notice halfway thru, they are instructed in their training to finish as quick as possible and disinfect everything.

So its not really fair on everyone else at the salon for you to visit when infected, also with treatment from the doc, it usually clears up in a couple of weeks.
