Why you wheel alignment are required when you fit new tires?

they are not always required but if the old tires had an odd wear pattern it would be in your best interest to have an alignment

Should you get a wheel alignment when you buy new tires?

No, not as long as normal wear pattern on the old ones.

Does new tires change alignment settings?

No. New tires does not change alignment settings as alignment settings done with tie rods, camber and caster bolts and not affecetd after tyre changing. Yaa But it should taken under consideration that after changing tyres its better to check alignment because there can be little change in alignment readings due to difference in tyres depths of old and new tyres. New tyres change balancing settings so wheel balincing is must check after changing tyres.

Why is there a roaring noise like knobby tires when tires are good and 2 years old?

No.

Must you replace tires when buying new wheels?

Maybe: If the new wheel is the same size as the old then the old tires can be re-used. If you change the wheel size then yes they need changing

Can you replace just 2 scalloped tires or do you have to replace all 4 and can they be aligned if not rotated receiving conflicting advise?

The tires have nothing to do with alignment. The car could be aligned with the scalloped tires. They are scalloped from bad alignment, shocks, struts or damaged to the front end. An alignment in itself may not fix the problem. There may need to be some new parts installed before the alignment. You only need to replace the two scalloped tires. A four wheel alignment can be done with new ones on the front and old ones on the back. Rotating them at some point will not affect the alignment.

How do you change a riding lawnmower wheel?

Changing a small lawn mowers tires will require you to first purchase new tires. Then loosen the bolts on the old tires. You can then take off the tires. Put on the new tires and replace the bolts.

You recently bought new tires one week old should you have your wheels aligned or does buying new tires negate the alignment need?

new tires does not mean you don't need alignment. it is always a good idea to have the vehicle aligned after new tires are purchased to avoid premature wear, even if the car shows no sign of mis-alignment.

What is the cause of a bad front wheel bearing?

If it has been correctly maintained the it is most likely normal wear and tear. On the other hand , if your front end steering is out and over large tires that have not been aligned. if the torsion bar that attaches to lower control arm is detached all a reasons you are going threw front wheel bearing like butter. I had a Chevy GMC I wanted to get them big old new tires on and it began, time after time. Find a alignment service store that specializes in four wheel drives and four wheel alignments. So do not stress take a deep breath and get to a phone book. i promise in the event you purchase 800.00 worth of tires you can trash the front tires and then the wheel bearings . get the 65 or 70 dollar front end alignment. have it checked every 6 months or so to optimize the life of them 800.00 tires.

Does a 1996 Buick Riviera need a 4 wheel alignment?

Yesy, All front wheel drive cars should ideally have FOUR WHEEL alignment. BOB yes I am pretty sure If not I don't know where you live but If you have a car with transmission and a gasket effect on the motor and a four-wheel drive there should be a Auto zone or Transmission Buffalo car shop near bye. sincerely, alley an eleven year old transmission girl that works with her dad and knows alot aboyut cars . For the most part many people do not need an alignment, this is the first thing that they will think is the problem, while most of the time it is something completely different. Make sure all your tires are properly inflated, and then try balancing your tires, that is the more common problem then needing an alignment and it will save a lot of money. Auto mechanic told you to replace your rear tires and you did.now your steering wheel shakes when you are driving what does this mean Do you need to replace your front tires now too?

shaking is generally caused by out of balance wheels and tires, not by alignment alignment will cause your car not to run true, and your tires to wear uneven any tire place will check and balance your tires.just go to a good tire place Sounds like your alignment is off this shouldent cost you a lot to fix. (the guy who replaced your rear tires should do it for free considering)Be sure to have a different mechanic check things out.you might try having all wheels balanced before you buy new tires.go to a reputable tire shop and they will do the job right. If your OLD rear tires were moved to the front or they are the NEW tires, your FRONT tires are probably out of balance or the rim (wheel) is bent. Take it back to the tire store and see if they'll balance the tires for you, that should take away the vibration. Alignment can cause pulling or rapid tire wear, but it doesn't cause vibration. Also have the tire store check out the suspension. See if there are loose parts. If there are loose parts or if the vehicle needs alignment, DON'T have the tire store do it for you! Ask around, see where body shops, dealers and other mechanics send their work for alignment. If they do it themselves, don't bother. If you can find a place in your area that seems to contract all of the alignment... that's the place to go. Alignment specialists are often less expensive and do a far better job.
