Water soluble vitamins like vitamin C and many of the vitamin B's are excreted by the body if you ingest too much, so they will not do any harm.
A few vitamins that can do harm are:
Vitamin D: Can cause calcium buildups in muscles (like reoccurring Charlie horse's can) which damage and impair the function.
Iron: Iron is a tricky one. Too much normally interferes with zinc intake, which creates a deficiency. However when you are sick, one way your body tries to fight the invading bacteria is by lowering iron levels in the blood. Eating iron-rich foods supplies the blood cells with more iron, which the bacteria leech off of.
