yes you can.... BUT... one of the wires will be for "all time power" ie: memory settings.. so instead of wiring both to battery... splice the all time memory wire into the cigarette ligher (positive)... that will help keep all of the seeting you like to remain... but if you cant find it and really dont care about presettings.. yup ya can connect both to the battery... remember to install fuseable links so ya dont smoke yer new deck lol... email me if ya need any help... ipoocorn@msn.com

the answer is YES, use a test light to find the + and - wires (should be one ground wire and two hot wires [one hot all the time for your clock & one hot only when the key is on]) in order to find which speaker is which, use a 1.5 volt battery to make a popping sound in the speaker (won't hurt the speaker) and then the solid color wire will be your positive & the wire with the stripe will be your speaker ground.
