It is possible to put a V8 in anything. Although, it will require lots of fabrication and $$$$! You're not going to be able to just take a V8 and drop it right in.
No, because the 1996 Pontiac Grand Am came with a 1.8L rotary V8 and the Chevy Cobalt came with n/a 2.0 that tops out around 110 while the Grand Am can get up to 190mph.
In a word, no.
Yes, long as u put a engine kit in it.

On a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix : Both the 3.8 liter V6 engine and the 5.3 liter V8 engine use a timing CHAIN
The 3.8 liter V6 and the 5.3 liter V8 engines used in a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix both use a timing CHAIN
How do you get the battery in and out of a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP V8. The fuse block is blocking the removal.
yup you can most certainly make it work v8 Archie has the clutch stuff
all u need to do is pull the v6 and the wiring harness out of the car and install v8 with new harness.. v8 will fit right in the v6 frame
In 2006 the Pontiac GTP changed to the GT and the GXP was created with 303hp when equipped with the 5.3L V8 at 5600 RPM.
Yes, many have swapped them into Grand Prix's and Lemans' of the same year. You will need the motor mounts for the Pontiac V8, and the transmission must match the Pontiac bellhousing (it is not the same as the Chevy pattern). Other minor issues may creep up such as throttle linkage, wiring (starter is on the opposite side), exhaust (I believe the Pontiac manifolds will clear the frame), but the are not insurmountable.
1,8,7 on right bank and 8,9,0 and left and the firing is good
